Shout out to all my visitors from LewRockwell :) This whole time I thought that I was merely writing for my own pleasure.
Its been hours since the main events at the Iowa straw ended and I’m watching the live stream on Justin.tv again.
I’m amazed to still see at least 100+ Paul supporters there yelling and waving signs like the event just started. These people have most likely been out there all day and they are still going full steam ahead, simply amazing.

They’re chanting “Ron Paul, Freedom !”

All the other camps seem to have sputtered out long ago, I don’t hear anyone else chanting, just the overwhelming drone of “RON PAUL, FREEDOM!”

The guy working the camera just said all the other campaigns are turned facing them just watching. Not much else you can do I guess. Money can’t buy this kind of support.
Now that I’ve got a better look at the Ron Paul camp it must be at least 200+ people which is amazing since the “main event” was over a long time ago.

Going on 5 minutes now of solid chanting for Ron Paul, I seriously thought they were going to sputter out but they just keep getting louder. The other camps gotta be in shock.
Its been almost 20 minutes and they just barely stopped chanting. Now the Star Spangled Banner is being sung. Seems like that was Ron Paul supporters doing all the singing :)

Now they’ve started one of my favorite chants, “we’re not just the internet !”
It’s 7:30pm now CST, apparently the results are coming in late… It looks like the results may be a full hour late.
I’ll continue to update as info rolls in from the live web feed , it’s 7:37pm CST currently…
I’m really starting to wonder why the vote is taking so long to count. I thought they were using electronic voting and here we are almost 1 full hour late announcing the results (7:43pm CST).

The above guy was a good sport, he gave a shout out to his friend (who he was talking to on the phone) lol…
Just read this blip from Marc Ambinders web site

It’s funny to see the strange confusion that sweeps over peoples faces when they realize they’re live on the intenet.

Ok, I was under the impression that the results were suppose to be declared at 7pm but then I heard some folks say the results were suppose to be announced at 7:30pm. Either way now it’s 7:57pm.
LOL, the dude holding the camera was in total denial that there were 2000 viewers. He said, “na, there’s not 2000″.
Dude, wrong. There’s totally damn near 2000.
The delay continues, little reason given as to why… I presume we’re still re-counting the 4,500 votes.
Here it comes !!! Someone just got on stage and started talking… it’s now 8:13pm CST and this is the first guy I’ve seen on stage….the guy on stage is re-assuring everyone that this is a vote you can trust and its got higher standards than the “national elections”.
The camera man just mentioned that it sounds like this guy is buying time, I tend to believe him…the dude is 1hr+ late with the results, tell us already…. the guy on stage just keeps going. It definitely sounds like he’s buying time now.
Some guy in the crowd was yelling at the speaker, “WHATS WRONG WITH THE COMPUTER” (referring to the vote counting computer). The speaker replied “nothings wrong with the computer, the number are coming in by the second” (or something close to it).
Ron Paul gets 5th place and the crowd goes wild !

Congrats Ron Paul !
Minor edits have been made to correct the poor grammar that results from “live blogging” :)

Thanks for your post…. I think Ron did very well… I must admit I have been on edge all day long regarding the results…. I would have hoped for a better ranking but they can no longer give McCain major news…. I’m very surprized with the second place finish I would have never bet on that one.
Folks all we have to do is keep spreading the word. Tell two new people about Ron Paul each day… At the gas station, Walmart or where every you shop. Study the issues and offer a great introduction to ron paul.
For sure we can place higher in other polls… We know what works and what don’t. We know we have to have more effort in person then online.
I predict donations will poor in to help even more. Dr, Paul has a day job and others were more free to spend in Iowa then Paul did. Plus was Mitt’s 1st place a real victory in compared the cash he paid for the vote? No the sheep in Iowa saw his adds every day and voted based on his lame ads.
Let’s say a prayer for Dr. Paul’s wifes health and hope that she is better.
Let’s get bigger and stronger and better at this… This was a practice…. Now go and donate cash to paul lets fill the tank or replce what he spent on this weeks event so we can fight in other states.
Paul is in this thing until next year when it really matters at that time the mass public want be so stupid to be fooled by Mtt’s New World Order plans.
Thanks for the comment Darel.
I agree that we need more offline activity. The online Ron Paul movement is taking care of itself very nicely.
Sorry to everyone for the quality of my reporting. I was listening to/watching the stream, taking screen shots, editing images and making this blog post all at the same time.
Ron Paul !!
Best wishes to Carol Paul.
Why were 26.000 tickets sold but only 14.000 votes cast?
#2-#4 do not have any money or organization in NH…so it’s impossible they had more votes than Ron.
